Welcome to ELKIZ Mannheim
We are an intercultural, non-profit association for parents and young children in Mannheim. Since 1994 we have helped families raise their children with two languages.
Who we are
Our goal is to encourage the bilingual upbringing of our children and to give them a skill that will help them in a globalised world. Beyond language, we want to strengthen their cultural roots and their self-esteem as they grow up in German society.
We see ourselves as a meeting place for young families and as a network for the language institutions of the Rhine-Neckar region. All work in the association is done by volunteers. ELKIZ belongs to the umbrella association Mütterforum Baden-Württemberg e. V.

Vive le mercredi !
Every Wednesday from 4 to 6 pm at the Johanniskirche Mannheim-Lindenhof, Rheinaustraße 21-23, 68163 Mannheim. Singing, crafts and games in French, plus French lessons for children aged 3 and up.

English Playground
An English-speaking playgroup used to meet on Tuesday afternoons at the Freizeithaus in Luisenpark, run by volunteer mothers from Australia, Canada, England, Kenya and the USA. For current information, please write to us.

Joining
Membership is 20 euros a year per family and covers all groups. Your first visits are free.
